    The Occupy Wall Street #SolidarityTour was born out of the need for inter-occupation communication and training. Justin Wedes, from the #OccupyWallStreet indie media team, joined members of Occupy The Hood - a group engaging communities of color in the #occupy movement - on a trip to visit occupations in Detroit, Ann Arbor and Pittsburgh. While in Detroit, Justin gave an Indie Media Workshop on building a needs-based media center for the burgeoning young occupation's media team.

    Justin Wedes is an organizer with the NYC General Assembly, the group that brought you #OccupyWallStreet. He works with the Indie Media Team, specializing in social media. He enjoys riding his bike generator to power his laptop in Liberty Square (aka Zuccotti Park), and helping grow the movement by being in a million different neighborhoods before midnight. When not #occupying, he enjoys reading, playing chess and thinking up grand new schemes for a more just and equitable world.

    Justin Wedes and the #SolidarityTour have been mentioned on Democracy Now!, The Colbert Report, The Brian Lehrer Show, in the  Detroit Free Press,  The Jewish News, and the Huffington Post.
